Greetings Visitor! (or, perhaps, Relative?... ;) )

If you are looking at this humble page that means there is good chance that we are related. =) Regardless weather we know each other or not, I hope you might find the information contained in this tree to be interesting, or perhaps even useful. Whatever your interest may be - curiosity, amusement, research of our roots and ancestors, or a great search for a long lost relative - you are welcome here!

Here are some notes regarding what you are about to see:

Please keep in mind that this version of our Family Tree is far from finished. In fact it is still very much work in progress. A lot of information and people are still missing, despite me working on it for some time. Some things are likely to be lost forever at this point, alas. But a lot of currently missing info can still be recovered. This tree is constantly growing, as more and more people are contributing to it.

In fact, one of the major reasons why I've decided it is time to put this family tree online, despite it's being incomplete, was  to expedite the process of growing this Tree. The ultimate goal of this project is to pull all available family knowledge from various sources that we still have into a single online repository, from which any of our relatives may draw if they wish to in the years to come. So dear Visitor, while you will be browsing this tree, should you find any incomplete, incorrect or missings information, please let me know, so I could update it accordingly. (you can contact me at vbrik11 at gmail dot com )

Despite the fact that this Tree is still but a Sapling and that it is going to go through some major changes in the years to come, there are some principles that I have determined for myself, that are not going to change, and that you should know about.

1. First of all - this is a completely commerce-free project. I am doing it as a personal volunteer/hobby project and as a service to the community (or rather to the blood-related part of the community :) ). I am not planning to benefit from it in any way (other than the feeling of moral satisfaction from creating something interesting and (hopefully) useful, and from learning more about our family roots and relatives of course :) ). Any commercial use of the information contained within by any party is strictly prohibited.

2. I treat privacy matters very seriously. Unless the person gives me specific permission to include his/her personal contact information in the tree(such as email, phone number and exact address), I am not going to include any contact information for that person, other than the county and city where he/she currently lives. Even more so, if the person gives me such information and permission to include it in the Family Tree, should this person change his/her mind, he/she can withdrew that information at any time, and I will update the Tree immediately to remove the information they no longer wish to share. That being said, I encourage you to provide at least your email address if you want to, since without it there will be no easy way for other previousy unknown/unreachable relatives to contact you.

3. Since "It takes a village to grow a tree" I encourage you to contribute any family facts known to you that are still missing and send them to me via my email (as mentioned above, it is vbrik11 at gmail dot com). I am going to update the Tree on a regular basis (as well as to add more features to it in the future), so your information will be reflected in the next update.

Ok, that's enough disclaimers and official stuff. :)

Enjoy your stay here, oh esteemed Relative!

Cheers,
Vadim Brik
