Archibald was born in 1876 in SOUTHAMPTON Hampshire England.  Archibald's father was Walter Trodd and his mother is Sarah Hunt.  His paternal grandparents were Richard Trodd and Harriet; his maternal grandparents are Arthur Hunt and Sarah. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William , Arthur, Frederick, Tom, Ambrose, Rosine, Jessie and Beatrice.  He is the seventh oldest of the nine children.
