George was born in 1827 in Sway, Hampshire and his baptism took place on March 10th, 1827 in Brockenhurst.  George's father was Joseph  Haynes and his mother was Harriet Soper.  His paternal grandparents were Joseph Blake and Jane Trebbeck; his maternal grandparents were John Soper and Sarah Fisher. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John, Morris , Alfred, Stephen, Eli, Jane and Mary.  He was the second oldest of the eight children.  He died  due to from erysipelas  at the age of 15 on April 17th, 1842 in Sway, Hampshire.  His burial was on April 24th, 1842 in Sway, Hampshire.
