Edith was born in 1865 in Romsey and her christening took place on September 15th, 1865 in SOUTHAMPTON Hampshire England.  Edith's father was William Gregory Biddlecombe and her mother is Mary Hannah Haynes.  Her paternal grandfather was William Biddlecombe and her paternal grandmother is Clarissa. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Henry, William, Agnes, Clara, Marion (May) and Gertrude.  She is the second oldest of the seven children.
