Henry was born in 1545.  Henry's father was Matthew Stuart and his mother was Margaret Douglas.  His paternal grandparents were John Stewart and Unknown; his maternal grandparents were Archibald Douglas and Margaret Tudor.  He was the oldest of two children.  He had a brother named Charles.  He died at the age of 22 in 1567.
