Constantine was born in 1858.  Constantine's father was Constantine Nikolaievitch of_Russia and his mother was Elizabeth Alexandra of_Saxe-.  His paternal grandparents were Nicholas_I Romanov and Charlotte of_Prussia; his maternal grandparents were Joseph of_Saxe- Altenburg and Amalie of_Wurttemberg.  He was the third of four children.  He had two brothers and a sister, named Nicholas, Dimitri and Olga Constantinovna.  He died at the age of 57 in 1915.
