Louis_XIII was born on September 27th, 1601 in Fontainebleau,France.  Louis_XIII's father was Henry_IV the_Great and his mother was Marie de'_Medici.  His paternal grandparents were Antoine de_Bourbon of_France and Jeanne d'Albret of_France; his maternal grandparents were Francesco_I of_Tuscany Italy and Joanna of_Austria.  He was the oldest of five children.  He had a brother and three sisters, named Gaston, Elizabeth of_France, Henrietta Maria of_France and Marie Christine.  He died at the age of 41 on May 14th, 1643 in Germain-en-Laye,France.  His burial was in St. Denis,France.
