George's father was Richard Plantagenet and his mother was Cicely Nevill.  His paternal grandparents were Richard of_Cambridge Plantagenet and Anne Mortimer; his maternal grandparents are Ralph of_Westmoreland 1st and Joan Beaufort.  He is the fourth of eight children.  He had three brothers and four sisters, named Edward_IV, Richard_III, Edmund, Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret and Ursula.
