Ferdinand was born in 1792.  Ferdinand's father was Frederick and his mother was Sophia Frederica of_Mecklenburg-.  His paternal grandparents were Frederick_V and Juliana Maria.  He was the youngest of three children.  He had a brother and a sister, named Christian_VIII and Louise Charlotte of_Denmark.  He died at the age of 71 in 1863.
