Charis was born in 1919.  Charis' father was Arcturus Black and her mother was Lysandra Yaxley (Black).  Her paternal grandparents were Phineas Nigellus Black and Ursula Flint (Black).  She was the youngest of three children.  She had two sisters named Callidora and Cedrella.  She died at the age of 54 in 1973.
