Laura was born on February 24th, 1876 in Chestnut Hill, PA.  Laura's father was Samuel Werntz and her mother was Anna M Hartman.  Her maternal grandparents were David Hartman and Maria (Hartman). She had four brothers and two sisters, named Walter, William, David, Harry, Nora and Amy.  She was the oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 86 on November 7th, 1962 in Akron, PA.  She was buried in Akron PA Luthern Church Cemetary.
