Peter was born in 1704 in Earl Twp, Lancaster PA.  Peter's father was Hans Gof (Groff) and his mother was Susanna Orendarf Kendig. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Marcus, Samuel, Daniel, John, Hannah, Franick and Mary. He had two half-brothers named Jacob and David.  He died at the age of 60 in 1764 in Earl Twp, Lancaster PA.
