Anna Louisa was born on March 14th, 1879 in Honey Ckeek, WI.  Anna Louisa's father was John Wilhelm Balfanz and her mother was Alvina Springstroh.  Her paternal grandparents were Martin Wilhelm Balfanz and Caroline Klein. She had six brothers and a sister, named Charles W, William, Henry John, George F, Edward August, John H and Lydia.  She was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 67 on August 30th, 1946 in Alta Vista, IA.
