William Purnell

William was born in March 1877 in St George, Gloucester, England. William's father was Noah Purnell and his mother was Sarah Kitson. His paternal grandparents were Abraham Purnell and Catherine Knowles; his maternal grandparents were Ralph Kitson and Ann Weeks. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Albert, George, Sarah Ann, Jane and Emily. He is the youngest of the six children.
