Male William Merrett

William was born in June 1857 in Christchurch, Monmouthshire and his baptism took place there on June 28th, 1857.  William's father was Thomas Merrett and his mother was Elizabeth Jones.  His paternal grandfather is Thomas Merrett; his maternal grandfather is Edward Jones.  He had four brothers and seven sisters, named George, Sidney, Clifford, Albert Edward, Celia, Christiana, Sarah Ann, Rosa, Mary Eliza, Annie Elizabeth and Priscilla.  He was the oldest of the twelve children.  He had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas, William, William, Henry, George, Eliza Ann and Agnes.
