Male John Hastings

John was born in June 1861 in Lorton, Cumberland.  John's father is John Hastings and his mother is Jane McDowell.  His paternal grandparents were John Hastings and Ann Beck; his maternal grandmother is Ann McDowell.  He has three brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Joshua, Isaac, Jane Mary, Elizabeth, Annie and Martha Hannah.  He is the second oldest of the eight children.
