Frances was born on April 9th, 1955. Frances' father is Jacobus Adriaan Rozier van Blerk and her mother was Cornelia Eudorita Louw. Her paternal grandparents were Pieter Gerhadus Louw van Blerk and Johanna Jacoba Elizabeth Beukes. She has two brothers named Pieter and Coenraad. She is the youngest of the three children.

  Achieved Northern Transvaal colours for marathon running. Won comrades in 1992. Has represented South Africa overseas. Lives in Pretoria.
