Tom was born in 1912. Tom's father was George William Entwistle and his mother was Geraldine Jacuba van Blerk (Entwistle). His paternal grandparents were Thomson Entwistle and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Jacobus Johannes Gerhardus van Blerk and Geraldine Jacoba Stagman (van Blerk). He had a brother and a sister, named Gerald James and Wilhelmina Jacoba.-
