Samira, known as Imm Ali, was born on February 19th, 1934.  Imm Ali's father was Abdalla Abdelhamid Dabbous (عبدالله دبوس 2) MA and her mother was Issaf Tabbara (إسعاف طبارة).  Her paternal grandparents were Abdelhamid Mohamad Arsalan Dabbous (عبدالحميد دبوس 1) and Aicha Tabbara (عائشة طبارة). She had three brothers and four sisters, named Samir, Bekr, Hani, Bayan, Sana, Nawal and Randa.
