Frank was born on April 23rd, 1874 in Palmer, SA.1  Frank's father was William Marshall OCKENDEN and his mother was Mary Elizabeth BARRETT.  His paternal grandparents were Palmer OCKENDEN and Emma MARSHALL; his maternal grandparents were Ambrose BARRAT and Mary. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Archibald, William, Frederick, Effie and Bessie.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 76 on March 11th, 1951 in Magill, Adelaide, SA.2
