Female Jane Turnbull

Jane was born on February 6th, 1843 in Military Road, Westoe, South Shields, Durham, England.1   Jane's father was John Turnbull and her mother was Jane Rochester.  Her paternal grandparents are John Turnbull and Jane Grieves; her maternal grandparents are Joseph Rochester and Margaret Thew. She had four brothers and a sister, named John, Joseph, Edward, William and Margaret.  She was the youngest of the six children.

Jane's family with Thomas Newby

Jane and Thomas were married in a religious ceremony on February 22nd, 1871 in The Primative Methodist, Sunderland, Durham, England.2   They had three daughters named Isabella Jane Ramsey, Emma Ramsey and Margaret Hunter.
