Male John Christton

John was born in 1827 in Sunderland, Durham, England.  John's father was Charles Christton and his mother was Ann Dunn.  His maternal grandparents were Joshua Stub Dunn and Sophia Yeo Marks.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 64 in March 1891 in Sunderland, Durham, England.1 

John's family with Jane Spraggon

John and Jane were married in a religious ceremony in December 1851 in Sunderland, Durham, England.1   They had five sons and eight daughters, named John William, John Charles, Mark Alfred, James D, John, Mary Hannah, Jane, Anne, Margaret Dowell, May, Fanny Elizabeth, Helena Edith and Edith.
