Owen was born in 1755.  Owen's father was Edward Sizemore and his mother was Elizabeth Jackson.  His paternal grandparents were Edward Williiam Sizemore and Hart Jackson. He had four brothers and a sister, named George, William, Henry, Ephraim and Elizabeth.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 81 in 1836.
