Benjamin was born on April 14th, 1662.  Benjamin's father was Thomas Mendenhall and his mother was Joan Stroud  Stroads.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Mendenhall and Anne Mendenhall. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Stephen, Moses, Aaron, John, Margery  and Joan.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 77 on April 13th, 1740.
