George was born on November 12th, 1839.  George's father was John Jack Farrington and his mother was Mary Polly Bare. He had five brothers and a sister, named Fred, Mumford, Hugh, Madison, Henry and America.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.  He died at the age of 85 on June 25th, 1925.
