Jacob was born in 1700.  Jacob's father was Hans Bar and his mother was Mayer Meyer.  His paternal grandparents were Heinrich Bar and Veronica Meyer. He had three brothers and a sister, named Hans, Henry, Samuel and Barbara.  He died at the age of 69 in 1769.
