Ralph was born on April 25th, 1918.  Ralph's father was James Monroe Holder and his mother was Mary Nettie Waters.  His paternal grandparents were Jesse Prior Holder and Eliza Jane Cawley. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named Norman, Alder, James , George, Hartwell (Doc), Roy, James, Hattie, Sallie and Lera.  He was the nineth oldest of the eleven children.  He died at the age of 58 on September 16th, 1976.
