John was born in August 1885 in Kilcavin, County, Wicklow, Ireland.1   John's father was Matthew WAFER and his mother was Frances CAULFIELD. He had a brother and six sisters, named Thomas, Annie, Frances, Bridget, Elizabeth, Ellen and Margaret. He had a half-brother named John.  He died at the age of 84 on December 14th, 1969 in Kilcavan, County Wicklow, Ireland.2 



John's family with Anne KENNY

‌John and Anne were married in a religious ceremony on September 26th, 1918 in Tomacork, County Wicklow, Ireland.  They had two daughters named Living and Mary Anne.
