Sophia's father is Nathanial ROWE and her mother is Mary SEYMOUR.  Her paternal grandparents are William ROWE and Jane; her maternal grandparents are John SEYMOUR and Mary JENNINGS. She had seven brothers and three sisters, named William, John Seymour, Josiah, Nathanial, Stephen, Thomas, David Stephen, Jennifer, Mary and Elizabeth.

‌Sophia and John were married in a religious ceremony on July 20th, 1843 in Stblazey, Cornwall, England.1   They have five sons and two daughters, named John, John Colmer, Samuel Woolcock, Samuel Woolcock, Thomas Colmer, Harriet and Sophia.
