Barbara's baptism took place on November 3rd, 1734 in Sheepstor, Devon, England.1 Barbara's father was Richard NORTHMORE and her mother is Mary WHITBOURN. Her paternal grandparents were Walter NARRAMORE and Richord WARREN; her maternal grandparents are Richard WHITBOURN and Jane OXENHAM. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Richard, Walter, George, Agness, Joan and Mary. She died on July 13th, 1808 in Lidford, Devon, England.1 General Notes

Barbara Northmore was baptized at Sheepstor Devon 3 Nov 1734 the daughter of Richard Northmore and Mary Widporn. She married John Hannaford 14 Mar 1764 at Sheepstor.
There is a headstone in the church of Buckland Monochorum which reads.....
'In memory of John Hannaford of Hexworthy in the parish of Widecombe,otherwise Lydford. Also Barbara, his wife, native of the parish of Sheepstor, late both of Yeoland in this parish. John died 17 March 1807 aged 68 years. Barbara died 13 July 1808 aged 74 years. Oh thou friend or stranger who shall read these mansions of the silent dead. Oh pause, reflect, repent, resolve, amend. Life had no lengthy eternity no end. (Stone erected by their son John as a tribute of duty and affection.

Barbara and John were married in a religious ceremony on March 14th, 1764 in Sheepstor, Devon, England.1 They had a son and a daughter, named John and Mary.
