Joseph LOVELY 
Joseph was born in 1808 in Ireland.1 Joseph's father was Peter LOVELY and his mother is Ann HANNASHEEN. He had a brother and a sister, named Edward and Ellen. He died at the age of 75 in 1883 in Arcadia, Carroll County, Iowa.2 General Notes
He may have had a daughter, or one one his brothers may have had a daughter named Mary who married James Martin on May 12th, 1876, both of S. Elmsly, Smith Falls, Ont area.

Joseph sponsors the marriage of a Eleanor Kenny to Dudley O'Connor in Nov. 1852. This was well before Richard and Eliza (Lovey's) marriage in 1865, but the Eleanor could be a relative or sister to Thomas.
Joseph and Catherine were married in a religious ceremony on September 23rd, 1833 in Perth, Ontario St. John the Baptist..3 They had nine sons and two daughters, named Peter, Thomas, William, Dominick, James, John, John, Joseph, Patrick, Ann and Margaret.

Ann was born in June 1835 in Canada.1 She died at the age of 49 in 1884 in Arcadia, Carroll County, Iowa.2
Peter LOVELY
Peter was born on April 11th, 1844 in Canada.4 He died at the age of 68 on April 11th, 1912 in Arcadia, Iowa. He was buried on April 13th, 1912 in St. John's Cemetery, Arcadia, Iowa.4 4
