MAMIE CURRY
DIES, FUNERAL
HELD MONDAY
Seriously ill a week from a
throat ailment, Mamie K. Curry,
chief operator for the local ex­
change of the Wisconsin- Tele­
phone company, died last week
Thursday ' evening at a' local hos­
pital. She was born in Sturgeon Bay
J*ne 12, 1891, a daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. James Curry, who still
survive, together with the hus­
band, Ralph Waldman, whom she
married in 1910 one. son, John
of this city and one brother,
George Curry of this city. One
sister, Ella, died about 18 years
ago. Deceased was graduated from
the' Sturgeon Bay High school in
19^J8 and lived here all her life
The past nine years she has been
'.employed continuously by the
telephone company, three years
as chief operator, but she had
been an operator there eight
years before, making a total of
17 years in the service.
The ftfneral was held Monday
morning' from ' the- St. Joseph's
church, and interment was at the
St. Joseph's cemetery.' The Rev.
Father Koeferl officiated. Pall­
bearers were E. S. Ackerman, W.
6. Arle, Ed Weber, John Moore,
Robert Llebstuckle and Louis
Fax.
Dr. Edward Barta and daugh­
ter Betty of Milwaukee were here
for the funeral.
