Cosme do Canto Vieira 
Cosme do Canto's baptism took place on October 3rd, 1641 in , Praia da Vitória, Ilha Terceira - AÇÔRES. Cosme do Canto's father was Capitão Manoel do Canto Vieira and his mother is Maria Machado Vieira. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Martinho do Canto, João do Canto, Maria, Maria, Anna do Canto, Catarina and Isabel. He died on January 6th, 1705 in , Praia da Vitória, Ilha Terceira - AÇÔRES.General Notes
Foi às guerras e dado por morto, habilitando-se então à sucessão do morgado o seu irmão João, dizendo que ele nunca casara e morrera na guerra. Obteve sentença favorável, mas no mesmo navio em que vinha a sentença, regressou o Cosme à ilha Terceira, apresentando-se em casa em estado lastimoso, mas apto a tomar posse do morgadio que lhe competia, ficando sem efeito a sentença.
