His paternal grandparents were Jose Patricio llona andicoechea and Benita ybiñarriaga garay; his maternal grandparents were Juan garay zabalia and Maria Antonia bilbao --------. He had three brothers and five sisters, named felipe, juan bautista, Juan Jose, maria egipciaca, juliana, Leona, Hemeteria and agustina. He is the oldest of the nine children.-
