    [by Yehoshua] Feiga Ehrlich de Faigon. My first mother. The Ehrlich's were neighbours of the Faigon's at Bielogorodka. Feiga and Aizik (Itzhak) use to read together the same books (that were not holy books, the only ones that were found in the home book-case) and my grand-father disapproved them. My grand-mother disapproved Aizik's relationship with Feiga, because a superstition based on the fact that Feiga was also her own name. My mother, born 1893 or 1894, died at 1926, being pregnant with her third child, never born. Except Elik, the brothers and sisters of Feiga went to the States. I'm in touch with my cousin Lilly Spetner, a widow about my own age, living in Saint Louis.
    She is a wonderful moral personality, sweet centre of a broad family that use to gather together from time to time, for a week, in a resort.
