Isobel was born on October 25th, 1809.1   Isobel's father was David Drysdale and her mother was Jean Dempster.  Her paternal grandparents were William Drysdale and Euphan Tower; her maternal grandparents were William Dempster and <Unknown>. She had three brothers and six sisters, named William, Laurence, David, Euphemia, Elizabeth, Jean, Margaret, Agnes and Mary.  She was the nineth oldest of the ten children.  She died at the age of 1 in 1810.1
