Jan was born on July 7th, 1906 at Vysoké č.35 and his baptism took place on July 8th, 1906.1  Jan's father was Jan Kirchner and his mother was Julie Dočekalová.  His paternal grandparents were Josef Kirchner and Marie Halámková; his maternal grandparents were Jakub Dočekal and Františka Havránková. He had a brother named Rudolf.  He was the older of the two children.
