Martinus Fredericus was born on September 30th, 1881 in Enschede.1  Martinus Fredericus' father was Henricus Franciscus van Wijnen and his mother was Aaltje Aaftink.  His paternal grandparents were Martinus Jeremias van Wijnen and Anna Kuijper; his maternal grandparents were Gerrit Jan Aaftink and Grietjen Kriegers. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Marthinus Jeremias, Johan Antonie, Johanna Margaretha, Geertruida Johanna and Aleida Hendrika.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 86 on December 4th, 1967 in Enschede.2
