Jan was born in 1686 in Andel and his baptism took place there on September 22nd, 1686.1  Jan's father was Bastiaan Janszn Loijen van Vuuren and his mother was Hendrina Pieters van Soeten.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Janszn Loijen van Vuuren and Belieken Hermansdr Heldt. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Pieter, Dirk, Bastiaan, Belike Basiaansdr and Janneken Bastiaansdr.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died before 1744.2
