Aert was born in August 1682 in Oudendijk (NB) and his baptism took place on August 16th, 1682 in Woudrichem.1  Aert's father was Aert Peterszn van Vucht and his mother was Geertruijcken Aertsdr van Neerassel.  His paternal grandparents were Pieter Aertszn van Vugt and Johanneke Jansdr N.N.. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Peter, Arijen, Adam Aertszn, Lijsbeth and Belia.  He was the fourth oldest of the six children. He had three half-brothers and a half-sister, named Cornelis, Anthony, Roelof and Lijsken.  He died at the age of 48 on October 26th, 1730 in Woudrichem.2
