Steven Gerritszn was born in January 1727 and his baptism took place on January 5th, 1727 in Meeuwen, Hill en Babyloniënbroek.1  Steven Gerritszn's father was Gerrit Vos and his mother was Cornelia van Hagoort.  His paternal grandfather is Steven Janszn Vos and his paternal grandmother was Geertruijd van Genderen; his maternal grandparents are Peeter Hendrickszn Hagoort and Johanna Verschuur. He had two brothers named Gerrit and Peeter.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 69 on October 7th, 1796 in Meeuwen.2
