Jacobus was born in 1662 in Heusden (NL) and his baptism took place there on April 21st, 1662.1  Jacobus' father was Lambert Vos and his mother was Jenneken Adriaensdr van Oorschot. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Adriaen, Cornelis, Digna and Digna.  He was the youngest of the five children. He had a half-brother named Michiel.  He died at the age of 89 in May 1751 in Uithuizermeeden (Groningen).  The funeral took place on May 14th, 1751 in Uithuizermeeden (Groningen).2 2
