Ariaentje Jansdr was born in October 1689 in Capelle (Noord Brabant) and her baptism took place there on October 2nd, 1689.1   Her godfather was Bastiaen brusten. Ariaentje Jansdr's father was Jan Anthoniszn Swart and her mother was Huybertjen Michielsdr de Haan.  Her paternal grandparents are Antoni Corneliszn Swart and Engeltjen Corstdr Zeeuw; her maternal grandparents were Michiel Deniszn de Haen and Maijken Gerritsdr Boom. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Antony Janszn, Gerrit Janszn, Chiel Janszn, Maria, Mari Jansdr and Teuntje Jansdr.  She was the oldest of the seven children.
