Casper was born in 1702 and his baptism took place on June 27th, 1702 in 's Hertogenbosch.1  Casper's father was Adriaan van der Stelt and his mother was Jenneke Willemsdr van der Stelt.  His paternal grandparents were Wouter Jacobszn van der Stelt and Dingena Leendersdr N.N.; his maternal grandparents were Willem Arienszn van der Stelt and Lijsbeth Dirkxdr N.N.. He had four sisters named Lijsbeth, Willemijn, Cornelia and Maria.  He was the second oldest of the five children. He had three half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Arien, Aert, Cornelis, Lijsbeth, Lijsbeth and Adriaantje.  He died at the age of 41 on October 3rd, 1743 in Amsterdam.2
