Cecilius was born in 1675 in Woudrichem and his baptism took place there on April 3rd, 1675.1   His godfather was Thomas Meuszn van Batenborgh and his godmother was Ariaentje Gerritsdr Kolff. Cecilius' father was Adam Gerritszn van Santen and his mother is Anneke Thomasdr van Batenborgh.  His paternal grandparents were Geerart Arienszn van Santen and Cecilia Claesdr N.N.; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Meuszn Batenborgh and N.N. N.N.. He had a sister named Cecilia.  He was the older of the two children.  He died before June 6th, 1747.2
