Servaas was born in 1759 in IJsselstein and his baptism took place there on April 16th, 1759.1   His godmother was Jannigje van Rooyen. Servaas' father was Johannes Pieterszn Otterspoor and his mother was Willemijntje van Rooyen.  His paternal grandparents were Pieter Janszn Otterspoor and Grietje Coenen; his maternal grandparents were Servaas van Rooyen and Jannigje van Keulen. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Pieter, Cornelis, Margrietha and Margaretha.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 69 on March 21st, 1828 in IJsselstein.2
