Grietje was born in 1706 in Almkerk and her baptism took place there on October 29th, 1726.1   Her godmother was Lijsbet Geritsdr Nederveen. Grietje's father was Gerrit Ariens Noteboom and her mother was Wouterke Gielen Sagt.  Her paternal grandparents were Arien Gerritszn Noteboom and Lijntje Goyertsdr van Sprang; her maternal grandparents were Chiel Corneliszn Sagt and Gereken Woutersdr N.N.. She had a brother named Arien Gerritszn.  She was the younger of the two children. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Arie, Cornelis and Lena.  She died at the age of 61 on September 19th, 1767 in Almkerk.2
