David was born in August 1728 in Zevenhuizen (ZH) and his baptism took place there on August 28th, 1728.1   His godmother was Marietje Klaasdr van de Wilk. David's father was Pieter Davidszn Moraal and his mother was Klaartje Willemsdr van der Plas.  His paternal grandparents were David Moraal and N.N. N.N.; his maternal grandparents were Willem Lambertszn van der Plas and Macheltje Cornelis Kerckhof. He had four brothers and a sister, named Willem, Pieter, David, Paulus and Magteltje Pietersdr.  He was the fifth oldest of the six children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named David, Klaas, Kornelis, Cornelis and Antje.  He died at the age of 53 on October 19th, 1781 in Berkel.1
