Marten Arienszn was born in July 1687 and his baptism took place on July 27th, 1687 in 's Grevelduin-Capelle.1  Marten Arienszn's father was Arien Janszn de Looper and his mother was Marytgen Thonisdr de Jonge.  His paternal grandparents were Jan Gerritszn de Looper and Geertruyt Maertensdr Dolck; his maternal grandparents are Thonis Arienszn de Jonge and Anneken Gerritsdr N.N.. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Maerten Arienszn, Teunis Arienszn, Johannes Arienszn, Marten Arienszn, Anna Ariensdr and Geertruydt Ariensdr.  He was the sixth oldest of the seven children.  He died before February 19th, 1690.1
