Catarina was born in 1753 in Aalburg and her baptism took place there on December 30th, 1753.1  Catarina's father was Lambert van Loon and her mother was Catelijn de Jong.  Her paternal grandparents were Joannes van Loon and Catarina Landman. She had a brother and two sisters, named Anthonie, Lijntje and Johanna.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
